Does my artwork have 0.25" bleeds?

We require a 0.25" bleed around the perimeter of your artwork to ensure accurate cutting (e.g., artwork for a 4"x6" postcard should extend to 4.25" x 6.25"). If your file has a white border on all four sides, bleeds are recommended but not required. If your image is not white on all four sides, you must include bleeds in print-ready files. Do I need to use CMYK color mode?

Yes. If your files are submitted using any other color standard, such as RGB or Pantone, they will be converted to CMYK.  Conversion from one color standard to another may cause colors to shift. If you want help setting up your files, please call or email us.

Do you accept any file format? 

We Print accepts print-ready files in any of the following formats: .eps, .jpg, .pdf, .ps, .psd, .tif. You may also upload your files by ftp on our website.

We accept print-ready files saved from the following design software programs: Adobe Photoshop® CS, Adobe Illustrator® CS, Adobe InDesign® CS, Adobe PageMaker, Macromedia Freehand®, QuarkXPress®.

We can also print raster images (.tiff and .jpeg) created by any application if they are submitted as high-quality, uncompressed 300 dpi, 8 bit, CMYK color mode. 

We can also accept most Microsoft products. If you ever have any problems or questions setting up your files, simply call or email us.

Why is resolution important?

Resolution also known as DPI (Dots Per Inch) can be described as the number of dots that fit horizontally and vertically into a one-inch space. Generally, the more dots per inch, the more detail captured and the sharper the resulting image. 

We recommend your files to be minimum of 300 dpi or higher.

Alterations/Corrections
Client alterations must be specified in writing and must include all corrections or changes from the original specifications. Each work will be charged at our current rates. 

Prepress Proofs
When requested by the customer, We Print will submit color proofs for the customer's review and approval. A minimum shipping charge of $25 is required to send a proof via express air shipping. Proofs must be returned to We Print marked "O.K." or "Revised Proof Required" and signed by the customer. Until the proof is returned, no additional work will be performed. We Print will not be responsible for undetected production errors if:

• Proofs are waived by the client; 
• The work is printed per the client's written OK; 
• Requests for changes are communicated verbally. 

All requests for changes of any kind must be made in writing to avoid mistakes. 

Color Proofing
Because of differences in equipment, paper, inks, and other conditions between color proofing and production pressroom operations, a "pleasing color" variation between color proofs and the completed job [as determined by generally accepted trade technical methods] is to be expected. When such a variation occurs, it will be considered acceptable performance.

Delivery
Charges for delivery are not included in quotations unless specified. We Print is not responsible for delays and/or damage incurred during shipping. Title for finished work passes to the customer upon delivery to the carrier at shipping point or upon mailing of invoices for the finished work or its segments, whichever comes first.

We Print might use your product for samples or advertising purposes.
